Bruce-Monroe Community Park

This project was an interim urban park development consisting of a tennis court, two basketball courts, a parking lot, playgrounds, stormwater management facilities and a community garden.  This interim park was constructed on the demolished former Bruce-Monroe school site.  The site design successfully incorporated the nature aspects into an urban environment by utilizing features like rain gardens and community garden.  

DMY performed geotechnical investigations including soil test borings, in-situ soil infiltration testing and laboratory soil classifications per DDOE requirements, and provided geotechnical recommendations for the design and construction of the stormwater management facilities and other onsite structures. DMY also provided the construction materials testing and inspection services during the construction phase of the project.
