Maryland SHA Geotechnical Exploration & Field Testing Services BCS2014-02C

DMY provides geotechnical explorations engineering, geotechnical field exploration and/or instrumentation and soil and rock testing services to support Maryland State Highway Administration statewide. DMY is responsible for reviewing project requirements, attending meetings with MDSHA, developing project scope of work/proposal/schedule, clearing utilities, coordinating the field investigation, monitoring project schedule, budget, and scope, completing the final deliverables to MDSHA, and preparing progress reports and invoices to MDSHA.

Below is a list of select projects completed under this contract:

• TA289A21 US 50 from Lomax Street to Dutchmans Lane: involves about 8,000 ft roadway widening and resurfacing and DMY completed 25 SWM borings, 25 infiltration test holes, 24 roadway/pavement borings with a total footage of 627 ft.
• PG809A21 MD 197 at MD 198 Intersection Improvement: involves about 2,000 ft roadway widening and resurfacing and DMY completed 8 SWM borings and 24 roadway/pavement borings with a total footage of 273 ft.
• WI6755176 US 50 at Sixty Foot Road: involves about 1,000 ft roadway widening and resurfacing and DMY completed 14 SWM borings, 14 infiltration test holes, 13 roadway/pavement borings with a total footage of 270 ft.
• GA195A21 US 219 over Branch of Youghiogheny River: involves bridge replacement, roadway widening and resurfacing. DMY completed one SWM boring, one infiltration test holes, 2 roadway/pavement borings, and 2 bridge borings with rock coring for a total footage of 240 ft.
• WA884A21 MD 68 Deck Replacement: involves bridge deck replacement and resurfacing. DMY completed 13 roadway/pavement borings and 4 bridge borings with rock coring for a total footage of 330 ft.
