PROJECT COMPLETION

2015

DMY provided a number of services for this project that involved the rehabilitation of a 100-year old, single-span, historic masonry-veneered bridge, located along the Tregaron Conservancy Trail on the Washington International School campus.

DMY initially executed a preliminary testing program consisting of non-destructive Windsor Probe testing, rebar detector to determine the spacing and depths of steel reinforcement, and the determination of concrete thickness. Following the preliminary testing, DMY completed a geotechnical investigation consisting of SPT drilling to bedrock, laboratory testing, and a geotechnical engineering report to provide bridge foundation recommendations for design and construction. The bridge foundation design was performed following the AASHTO LRFP methodologies.

In order to meet the project schedule and time constraints, DMY mobilized two CME 45C truck-mounted drill rigs and completed the fieldwork on a Saturday.
